Service Alerts via Email and Text!

Priscilla Kalugdan Service Alerts

Capitol Corridor is excited to bring you electronic updates via text message/SMS, as well as e-mail. This feature supplements Capitol Corridor’s current e-newsletter subscription service, CC Rail Mail, by offering you more topic choices and allowing you to receive messages on a mobile phone.

The Service Alerts program will provide timely information about delays and service changes to those who subscribe. The beta-test(see below) will officially kick off on Monday, July 26th, 2010. We will send Service Alert Bulletins:
• Monday through Friday only. Bulletins will not be sent on Saturday, Sunday or Holidays.
• For each train delayed by 15 minutes or more
• Subsequent updates will be sent for major developments only

If you subscribe to the text message/SMS program, please be advised that standard text messaging rates from your service provider will apply.

Beta Testing
This service is currently in “beta-testing” — which means that though the system is working and operable, we are still refining the process. To that end, we’ll need your feedback to make improvements to the service, so we would love to know what you think of the service and how the alerts are working for you. The Beta Testing Period will last for 30 days after launch. We will send out a survey after the beta period to get specific feedback from you on the program and allow for any adjustments.

In the future, we hope to offer customized subscriptions to Service Alerts so you can subscribe only to those trains that you ride often, but this feature is still in development.
