During the Fix 50 Project, those buses were departing 20 minutes ahead of schedule to account for the expected increase in traffic.

Santa Clara/Great America Station Parking Lot Closed June 20-July 2

Please be advised that the VTA-owned parking lot, south of the Santa Clara/Great America Station, will be closed for re-surfacing and re-striping between Friday, June 20 and Wednesday, July 2. It is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, July 3.

During this period, daily riders who park or leave vehicles in this lot should use the East Tasman Lot (a.k.a. Yellow Lot 3 on the map) across from the fire station on Bill Walsh Dr. (formerly Stars & Stripes Dr.) This lot has recently been graveled and freshly striped. Cars that are left in the VTA parking lot during the work period will be towed by the City of Santa Clara. For more information, including a map of the area, click here.

Connecting Bus Routes Affected by NASCAR Race on Sunday, June 22

Due to expected heavy traffic in the Napa area on Sunday, June 22 related to the Toyota/SaveMart NASCAR Sprint Cup at Sonoma Raceway, there will be route adjustments to connecting buses 6318 and 6518.

Bus 6318 (connecting to trains 742 and 747) will not serve the Vallejo – Six Flags Discovery Kingdom stop. After the Petaluma stop (PTC), the bus will detour to Martinez via the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge to avoid the raceway area.

Bus 6518 (connecting to trains 742 and 747) is cancelled, leaving only one bus departure from Napa to Martinez on June 22 (Bus 6516 at 12:30 p.m.). Passengers will need to make alternate arrangements to get to Martinez for Capitol Corridor trains departing after eastbound Train 734 at 2:44 p.m. and westbound Train 741 at 3:15 p.m.

Fremont Station Track 2 Platform Out of Service on June 25

Due to maintenance taking place on Wednesday, June 25, the platform on Track 2 at the Fremont Station will be out of service from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. that day. Please note that this platform is not the main platform normally used by passengers, but rather the shorter platform across from the depot. The main platform will be in service during this work period; however, if for some reason a train is required to use Track 2, the train will stop at the adjacent Fremont Blvd. crossing to board and unload passengers. Construction team members will be available to assist passengers who need to board a train from this Track 2 platform.
