The holiday season is fast approaching, and there are several events coming up along the Capitol Corridor route to bring you winter and holiday cheer! This Tuesday, December 2, the Sacramento State Capitol will kick off the season with a tree lighting ceremony from 4:30-6:00 pm. The neighboring City of Davis will be hosting their Holiday Children’s Parade and Tree Lighting at the E Street Plaza at 6:00 pm this Thursday, December 4. On Friday, December 5, watch Jack London Square light up for the holidays during their annual festivities from 5:00-7:00 pm, or join Martinez’s Children’s Light Parade starting downtown at City Hall at 6:30 pm. On Saturday, December 6, check out America’s Children’s Holiday Parade along Broadway Street in Oakland at 2:00 pm or enjoy Christmas at the Waterfront at the Harbor Plaza in Suisun from 2:00-8:00 pm. Ongoing events throughout the month include the Theatre of Lights in Old Sacramento as well as Christmas in the Park in the Cesar Chavez Plaza in San Jose.
