2. Track work June 3-28, 2008
3. Results of January onboard survey

**********************************************************************
1. Memorial Day Service
**********************************************************************
Capitol Corridor will operate on a weekend/holiday schedule on
Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2008.

**********************************************************************
2. Track work June 3-28, 2008
**********************************************************************
Union Pacific will be upgrading track infrastructure between Benicia
(North of Martinez) and Suisun/Fairfield, installing approximately
40,000 new wood ties. This is the second installment of a multi-year
track upgrade project between Oakland and Sacramento, which will keep
the railroad in good condition so trains can operate reliably.

Track work is expected to run June 3rd -June 28th, 2008. During this
time, some morning and early afternoon Capitol Corridor trains WILL
NOT OPERATE between Martinez and Suisun/Fairfield. Instead, connecting
buses will carry passengers between these two stations, and trains
will operate on the remainder of the route on a modified schedule.
Visit our site for the temporary schedule and full details.

Bicycle Advisory during Track Work: Due to limited space aboard
motorcoach buses used during the bus bridge, Capitol Corridor strongly
discourages cyclists from traveling with their bicycles on affected
trains between Suisun/Fairfield and Martinez during the track work
project. We suggest that cyclists be prepared to secure bicycles at
the train station, as bicycles will not be permitted in the seating
area on the buses. Storage space underneath the bus is very limited
and priority will be given to baggage. More details on bicycle
advisory.

3. Results of January onboard survey
**********************************************************************
Twice yearly, the CCJPA conducts a survey of its passengers to stay
abreast of customer satisfaction and demographics. We thank you for
your participation in these surveys, as the information is invaluable
to us as we continue service improvement efforts.

2. Track work completion
3. Sacramento parking lot construction
4. Bikes on board

1. 4th of July schedule and service adjustments
**********************************************************************
• Capitol Corridor will run on a weekend/holiday schedule on Friday,
July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Fares will remain the
same.

• San Francisco Pier 39 stop will not have any motorcoach service
from 7pm through midnight. Signage will be posted at this stop
advising passengers of this service adjustment.

Additionally, during those hours (7pm-midnight), the San Francisco
Ferry Building stop will be temporarily moved to Steuart and Mission
Streets, approximately 1.5 blocks from the current station to
accommodate San Francisco's 4th of July Festivities.

• The Truckee Stop (TRU) will be inaccessible from 9:30am-1pm due to
a parade. Motorcoach buses will pick up passengers at the Truckee
Diner instead that morning.

Capitol Corridor wishes you a safe and enjoyable Independence Day
weekend!

**********************************************************************
2. Track work completed!
**********************************************************************
The June track work is now complete, and there are no longer bus
bridges between the Martinez and Suisun/Fairfield station. Capitol
Corridor has resumed normal service. Please refer to the May 12, 2008
timetable for route and schedule information.

We thank you for your patience while Union Pacific Railroad completed
this project that will improve reliability and ride comfort.

**********************************************************************
3. Sacramento parking lot construction
**********************************************************************
The City of Sacramento, Department of Transportation will be
re-surfacing and re-striping the front parking lot at the Sacramento
station. Parking lot improvements will take place on the following
weekends:
• July 19-20
• July 26-27

The Sacramento parking lot will re-open Monday mornings for daily
commuters.

During construction, drivers can access the Sacramento parking lot by
using the 2nd Street entrance. For your convenience, additional
parking is available at the Old Sacramento parking garage, located at
2nd and I Streets.

The main entrance located at 5th and I Streets will not be available
to drop off and pick up passengers. Passenger drop off and pick up
will be located west of the station at 2nd and I Streets. Please
follow detour signs.

**********************************************************************
4. Bikes on board
**********************************************************************
With more and more people ditching their cars for a greener way to get
to and from the train station, there are times when it is likely that
the bike racks will fill up quickly. We encourage bicyclists to carry
bungee cords with them so they can secure their bicycles to the racks
or lower level seating areas when traveling on crowded trains.
