Richmond Station Elevator Out of Service January 23 – 27, 2017

Karen Bakar Service Alerts, What's New

Between Monday, January 23 and Friday, January 27, all elevators at the Richmond BART and Amtrak stations will be out of service, including the elevator to the Capitol Corridor/Amtrak train platform. This is due to important maintenance work being conducted by BART.

If you need to use an elevator during this week, please plan for the one of the following alternatives:

  1. If you use the Richmond Station but are not connecting with BART, you will need to park at another station, such as Berkeley.
  2. If you are using the Richmond Station to connect to BART for service anywhere on the BART system, you can take the Capitol Corridor to the Oakland Coliseum Station and connect to all BART lines except Pittsburg/Bay Point.
  3. If you are using the Richmond Station to connect with BART to travel specifically to San Francisco, you can also take the Capitol Corridor to the Emeryville Station and connect to Amtrak’s dedicated Thruway bus service to one of the San Francisco stops.

To check if a BART elevator is in service before arriving at a BART station, please call 510-834-LIFT (510-834-5438) or 888-2-ELEVAT (888-235-3828), or sign up for BART’s elevator status alerts at www.bart.gov/elevators.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and appreciate your patience while BART perform’s this important maintenance work.
