Much of what has been published about our service since COVID-19 came into our lives is that ridership is down, hovering at just 11-15% of normal ridership. Looking back over the past 12 months, all of us would agree that throughout the challenging year that 2020 shaped up to be, it forced us to make the best of a situation. This may have meant more time reading, binge-watching series, gaming, or even picking up a new hobby. The Capitol Corridor route between Sacramento and Martinez passes through two important bird habitats, the Yolo Bypass and the Suisun Marsh, both of which provide nesting areas for many species of birds and other animals, plus winter homes and rest stops for thousands of birds migrating along the Pacific Flyway.
