On Thursday, September 8, 2016, the City of Suisun celebrated its newly-renovated Suisun City Train Depot with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by city leaders and representatives of Solano County, the Solano County Transportation Authority, and the CCJPA.
The renovations to the 102-year old train depot included fresh interior paint; new, more energy-efficient lighting and windows; updated curb ramps; and expanded stairs with handrails. In addition, the plaza and bus shelters were spruced up, and a flag pole was added. The City of Suisun paid for the renovation project with a grant through the Solano Transportation Authority.
The CCJPA’s Managing Director, David Kutrosky, as well as CCJPA Board Director and Solano County Supervisor, Jim Spering, both spoke at the mid-afternoon ribbon cutting. Enjoy a selection of photos from the ceremony:
