Whether you opt to celebrate Earth Day in San Francisco, enjoy a day of activities on the UC Berkeley campus, sample craft beer in Martinez, or watch some of the best turf dancers compete in Oakland, there are plenty of weekend activities along the Capitol Corridor!
The stretch of the Capitol Corridor route between Martinez and Davis is one of the prettiest, and just looking out the window it’s easy to see that nature is alive and well here. Most passengers never experience the Suisun Marsh first-hand though as they zip past the Suisun/Fairfield station on the way to Davis and Sacramento to the east, or Bay Area destinations to the west.
Do you live green and sustainably? If so, show us your green lifestyle between Saturday, April 1, and Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, by submitting images with the hashtag #22DaysofGreen that best capture how you, and your friends and family, are helping the environment. It could be a picture from your train commute, your family working in the garden, or a group of friends hiking. You can also share pictures that illustrate new ideas and tips such as recycling or repurposing hacks.
