In anticipation of the busiest travel week of the year, the Capitol Corridor is prepared to accommodate Thanksgiving travelers with extra equipment and additional capacity.
Capitol Corridor service will run according to the Weekend/Holiday Schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, as well as the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 25.
*PARTIAL RESERVED SERVICE, Sunday, 11/27/22: Please note that Train 727, 729, 742, and 744 will be RESERVED on Sunday 11/27 due to anticipated high ridership, so please book early! If you must make changes or cancellations for a RESERVED ticket, you must do so according to Amtrak policy–visit Amtrak.com for information.
*Thanksgiving Bus Connection Adjustment: Additional Stop at Santa Barbara University (SBU)
Effective November 22, 2022 to November 28, 2022, there will be an additional stop at Santa Barbara University (SBU) to/from the Santa Barbara Amtrak Station.
- Connecting Bus from Santa Barbara to San Jose/Oakland:
Bus 4765: Additional stop at SBU will departure at 12:10PM
Bus 4785: Additional stop at SBU will departure at 10:20PM - Connecting Bus from Oakland/San Jose to Santa Barbara:
Bus 4784: Additional stop at SBU will departure at 12:45PM
Bus 4770: Additional stop at SBU will departure at 6:00AM
We encourage you to plan ahead and book early. As a friendly reminder, face coverings are recommended on board all trains and buses, as well as at stations for the health and safety of all traveling this season.

The easiest way to purchase your ticket is online from our website, www.capitolcorridor.org, or the Amtrak app. After boarding, simply open the ticket on your smartphone and present it to the conductor to scan.

All Capitol Corridor trains feature spacious and comfortable seating and offer a wide variety of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, electrical outlets in each row, bike/luggage racks, and an on-board Café Car with snacks and beverages.
