Service Advisory: Bus Bridge and alternate schedule for trains March 3-4 and March 10-11

On the weekends of March 3-4 and 10-11, 2012, the Union Pacific Railroad is upgrading track infrastructure between the Martinez and Emeryville stations, where they will install supports for a new bridge at their own expense. During this track work project, some morning and early afternoon Capitol Corridor trains will not operate between Martinez and Emeryville Stations. Instead, connecting buses will carry passengers between those two stations, and trains will operate on the remainder of the route on a modified schedule.

Discontinuation of complimentary Sacramento Bee on morning trains

Beginning April 1, 2012, Capitol Corridor will no longer be offering complimentary copies of the Sacramento Bee on select morning trains. The cost of purchasing the papers on behalf of our passengers has risen sharply the last five years and our modest budget can no longer support the cost of this passenger amenity. Passengers will find that the Sacramento Bee offers a variety of articles and content online at www.sacbee.com that can be accessed using the free Wi-Fi onboard Capitol Corridor trains. You may also purchase paper copies of the Sacramento Bee inside the Sacramento train stations from the metal newspaper kiosks.
