March 1, 2015 Schedule Available Online, Reflects SF Ticket Office and Bus Route Changes

Effective this Sunday, March 1, Amtrak’s San Francisco Ferry Building bus stop and ticket office will be closed permanently and relocated to the Transbay Temporary Terminal. Passengers who normally use the Ferry Building stop will be redirected to the Transbay Temporary Terminal at 200 Folsom Street, between Main and Beale streets, in the shared space with Greyhound. More information about the closure of the Ferry Building stop and service at the Transbay Temporary Terminal can be found on our website.

In addition to the bus stop relocation, there will be minor schedule changes on Bus 99 between Emeryville and San Francisco and on Train 743 from Sacramento to San Jose. The new schedule is now available on our website, and can be viewed here.

Coming Soon! Better Bike Storage at the Stations

In our 2013 Bicycle Access Plan, we outlined specific programs to make it easier for passengers to use their bicycles with Capitol Corridor. Over the past year, we implemented one of those programs by increasing bike storage capacity on board Capitol Corridor trains. This year, we’ll be introducing another element of the plan by installing BikeLink electronic lockers (eLockers) at most of our stations! These eLockers will provide you with the option of leaving your bike at the station rather than taking it on the train. We will be rolling out the eLockers at select stations starting this spring, and will eventually have them installed at the majority of our stations. Bikes and trains are the perfect match, and we hope that increasing bike storage and security along our route will enhance our service. Stay tuned for more details in the upcoming months!
