SERVICE CHANGE

March 3rd/4th and 10th/11th; Emeryville – Martinez

The Union Pacific Railroad is upgrading track infrastructure between the Martinez and Emeryville stations, where they will install supports for a new bridge at their own expense. This is the fifth installment of a multi-year track upgrade project between Oakland and Sacramento, designed to keep the railroad in good condition so trains can operation safely and reliably.

During this track work project, some morning and early afternoon Capitol Corridor trains will not operate between Martinez and Emeryville Stations. Instead, connecting buses will carry passengers between those two stations, and trains will operate on the remainder of the route on a modified schedule. The following trains will be cancelled and will not operate and will have no alternate transportation during the track work project: Trains 732, 738, and 745.

Bicycle Advisory: Due to limited space aboard the motorcoach buses used for the bus bridge, Capitol Corridor strongly discourages cyclists from traveling with bicycles on affected trains between Martinez and Emeryville for the duration of the track work project—the weekends of March 3-4 and March 10-11, 2012.

Temporary Service Change for S.F. Bus Connections – March 11, 2012

As a result of the Sunday Streets activities in San Francisco on Sunday, March 11, 2012, the following temporary changes will be in effect between 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM:

This temporary change will affect connections to Capitol Corridor trains 729, 732, 733, 734, 736, 737, 738 and 741.
