Due to late-season winter storms, bus service between Auburn and Truckee/Reno and between Placerville and South Lake Tahoe is subject to delays. In addition, there have been some cancellations in bus service to/from Truckee/Reno:
- Eastbound bus 3524(connecting from Train 524) is being held at Donner Summit with no ETA for Truckee/Reno.
- Eastbound bus 3534 (from Train 534) is cancelled between Colfax & Truckee/Reno. Service between Sacramento and Auburn is running.
- Westbound bus 3549 (connecting to Train 549) is cancelled at Reno, Truckee and Colfax
To check on a specific bus trip, you can call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL beforehand to check on the status of your trip. (When you call, ignore the “Press 1 for Capitol Corridor Customer Service” prompt and stay on the line to speak to an Amtrak Customer Services representative.)
