CC Rail Mail: Oakland A’s Opening Night, Earth Day Preview, BOGO Saturdays, and Sacramento Master Plan Workshop

Save 25% on Travel to Oakland A’s

Baseball season has arrived, which means it’s time to see the Oakland A’s play at the Coliseum! Take the Capitol Corridor to their home season opener on Monday, April 3, against the Los Angeles Angels, and to every home game this season. The Oakland Coliseum Station is located right next to the Coliseum, making it the most convenient and enjoyable way to get to the game. Plus, you can save 25% on travel when you take Capitol Corridor to see the team play in 2017! Grab a snack on the way there – the Café Car offers a wide variety of food and beverages (including wine, beer, and spirits). Check out the 2017 Oakland A’s Schedule for other home games.

Earth Day Preview: #22DaysofGreen and Oakland EarthEXPO

Get ready for Earth Day! Show us your green lifestyle between Saturday, April 1 and Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, by submitting an image that best captures how you, and your friends and family, are helping the environment. It could be a picture from your train commute, your family working in the garden, or a group of friends hiking. You can also share pictures that illustrate new ideas and tips such as recycling or repurposing hacks. Post the photo to one of our three social media accounts – Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter – and make sure you use the hashtag #22DaysofGreen and tag us @CapitolCorridor. On Monday, April 24, we will pick one lucky winner among those who submitted an image and they will win 4 round-trip tickets on the Capitol Corridor! Also for Earth Day, Capitol Corridor staff will have a booth at the Oakland EarthEXPO at Frank Ogawa Plaza on Thursday, April 6, from 10am to 2pm. Come visit us! We’ll be sharing information about the Capitol Corridor, plus we’re doing a raffle for great prizes including tickets for the Oakland A’s, the California State Railroad Museum, Great America amusement park, and the Capitol Corridor train. We hope to see you there!
