Capitol Corridor Launches Local Rewards Program

February 17, 2021

On Valentine’s Day weekend, the Capitol Corridor showed their customers a little love by launching Capitol Corridor Rewards, a program of local and environmentally friendly offers that have been curated exclusively for the Capitol Corridor’s rewards community.
Capitol Corridor Rewards members will have access to exclusive discounts, promotions, and offers from businesses and services that are located or that serve communities along the Capitol Corridor’s 170-mile route between Auburn/Sacramento and San Jose in Northern California. The program is free and is open to members even if they are not currently riding the train.

“We’ve been eager to provide our riders with a program that has a distinctly local flavor, in addition to what they might already be getting through Amtrak Guest Rewards, which features offers from national brands,” said Priscilla Kalugdan, Capitol Corridor’s Marketing and Communications Officer. “It’s our way of saying thank you to our customers, especially during this incredibly challenging time, while also building a stronger sense of community and sustainability around our Northern California brand.”

To launch this new initiative, the Capitol Corridor partnered with Chinook Book, which has relationships with some of the best local and sustainable businesses along the Capitol Corridor route to offer discounts members can use on essential services like organic groceries, take-out dining, and outdoor experiences, plus online offers for gifts, clothes, crafts, and more.

As a thank you for joining, members will receive a 12-month gift subscription to the Chinook Book app, as well as an exclusive offer for the official Capitol Corridor Company Store at www.railgoods.com.
