Message to Riders: Voters Reject Prop 6 Gas Tax Repeal, Paving Way for Progress on Key Capitol Corridor Projects

Yesterday, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, California voters rejected Proposition 6 David Kutroskywhich would have repealed a gasoline tax increase that went into effect in November 2017 through the enactment of the Road Repair and Accountability Act, or Senate Bill 1 (SB 1), in April 2017. The proceeds from SB 1 provide approximately $5 billion a year for road and transportation projects.
