Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority Highlights Achievements and Growth in FY2023 Performance Report

Oakland, CA, January 16, 2024 โ€“ Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA) is pleased to announce the release of its Performance Report for the fiscal year 2023. The report features a year of notable accomplishments, sustained growth, and ongoing commitment to providing exceptional rail service along its entire route.

Key Highlights:

  • Record Ridership: Achieved record-breaking ridership, carried over 921,000 passengers.
  • Revenue: $23 million in revenue, a 30 percent increase from the previous fiscal year.
  • Major Infrastructure Investment: Awarded $42.51 million Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) Grant from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) to complete Phase 1 of the Sacramento to Roseville Third Track project.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Transitioned our fleet to renewable diesel.
