Flexible Travel with Capitol Corridor

September 22, 2021

As of September 20, 2021, all Capitol Corridor single-ride and round-trip fares are now Flexible Fares! What does this mean? Tickets are now fully refundable without any change or cancellation fees, if canceled prior to your original departure date.* In most cases, you can cancel your ticket on Amtrakā€™s website.

Ticket Flexibility of an Unreserved Service

No reservations are required to ride the Capitol Corridor. And with that comes the flexibility to easily change your travel plans with a valid ticket. Although you may have purchased your ticket with a specific date and train for your trip, you have the option of using that ticket on a different train and even on a different date. Tickets are valid for one year from the original date of travelā€”if youā€™ve purchased a ticket with a promotional discount, youā€™ll need to follow the terms and conditions of the promotion.

Travel knowing you have the flexibility to enjoy open seating wherever you feel comfortable, complimentary Wi-Fi and our CafƩ Car.

* No change to refund policies for multi-ride (monthly, ten-ride, and six-ride tickets).
