Adjusted Train Schedule for July 14 Queen + Adam Lambert Concert at SAP Center; Train 748 Rescheduled to Depart at 11:30pm

June 26, 2019

Queen and Adam Lambert fans who have tickets to the upcoming Rhapsody tour stop on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the SAP Center at San Jose, will be able to travel to the show without the hassles of traffic and parking!

The Capitol Corridor train, which directly serves the SAP Center at the San Jose-Diridon Station, will offer an adjusted train schedule after the concert so attendees can leave their cars at home and travel by train. Train 748 will depart promptly at 11:30pm from the San Jose-Diridon Station, which is about a 5- to 10-minute walk from the SAP Center. Ticketed passengers should give themselves 20 to 30 minutes to get to the station after the concert given the large expected crowds. The train will not wait for late passengers.

The Capitol Corridor coordinated this concert train with Amtrak and Union Pacific, and partnered with Live Nation to offer this convenient transportation solution to concert ticket-holders.

Train schedules have not been adjusted for travel to the concert, as regular service on westbound Train 743 will get attendees to San Jose at 6:54pm. The concert start time is scheduled for 8:00pm, but attendees are advised to check the SAP Center website to find out when doors open. There are earlier trains to Santa Clara as well – please check the Capitol Corridor schedule.

Train 748 Rescheduled for Concert
Eastbound Train 748, which normally provides weekend service between San Jose and Sacramento (departing San Jose at 9:10pm and arriving in Sacramento at 12:14am), will be rescheduled for a later departure to accommodate passengers attending the concert. On July 14 only, the train will depart the San Jose-Diridon Station 2 hours and 20 minutes later than usual, at 11:30pm, with a 2:34am arrival (July 15) in Sacramento. Ridership on Train 748 is typically low; however, those who were planning to take this train may want to make alternate travel plans.

How to Buy Train Tickets
Purchasing your train ticket for the show on July 14 is no different than how you would normally buy a ticket. The train’s adjusted schedule has been added to booking system, so if you purchase your ticket online or from a Quik-Trak ticket vending machine, Train 748 with its adjusted schedule will show up as one of your options.
