Minor Delays Between Davis and Fairfield-Vacaville Stations 9/15-17/23

September 14, 2023

Starting September 15, 2023, Union Pacific Railroad will be undertaking a bridge improvement project between Davis and Fairfield-Vacaville stations. This project is scheduled to be completed by September 17, 2023. This project may cause delays of up to 20 minutes to trains that are traveling between Davis and Fairfield stations through the rest of September 2023.

TRAIN ADJUSTMENTS FOR ED SHEERAN CONCERT 9/16

September 11, 2023

Due to the Ed Sheeran’s concert at Levi’s Stadium on Saturday, September 16, 2023, here are the following adjustments:

  • Expect more riders than usual on Trains 741/743Please consider taking an earlier train to minimize crowding onboard, if you have flexibility in your schedule.
  • Trains 746 is CANCELLED. Passengers are advised to take Train 744 or earlier trains if you have flexibility on your schedule.

One Ticket, One Seat Policy
It is important for riders to respect each other’s space and abide by our “One Ticket, One Seat” policy. This means the ticket you purchase entitles you to use only one seat; you may not use additional seats to store your personal belongings. Please store your belongings in the overhead compartment or at your feet, and keep the seat next to you clear for others. This will help to ensure that everyone has a comfortable and safe ride on the Capitol Corridor.

Ticket Change and Flexibility
The Capitol Corridor is an unreserved service with flexible ticket options. This flexibility means that your ticket is valid for travel up to a year from the original travel date and allows you to change travel dates and or trains using your original ticket. No ticket changes are required under these conditions should your travel plans change. Restrictions do apply to tickets purchased using promotions. Temporary Bus Connection Service Change at San Luis Obispo/Cal Poly Campus (SLP) 9/14-15

September 5, 2023

Due to the annual Move-In Day at The California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, Route 21 bus connection service will be suspended at the San Luis Obispo/Cal Poly Campus Stop (SLP) on Thursday, September 14, 2023 and Friday, September 15, 2023.

Bus connection service will continue to operate as scheduled. The closest bus stop to the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus during the suspension will be the San Luis Obispo Amtrak station (SLO) located at 1011 Railroad Ave, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.

TAKE THE CAPITOL CORRIDOR TO SEE ED SHEERAN AT LEVI’S® STADIUM ON 9/16!

Hey Sheerios, we are offering special service to the Ed Sheeran Mathematics Tour at Levi’s® Stadium just for you! Skip the traffic and parking hassles by riding the train—we’ve got FREE Wi-Fi, a Café Car, restrooms, and comfy seats. Ticketed passengers should give themselves at least 15 minutes to get to the station after the concert.  Please always stay behind the yellow line at the platform.

For the return trip, please make your way to the exit doors prior to arriving at the next station. Trains do not remain in the station for long, so you will need to be ready to offboard upon arrival at your destination.

Sacramento Station Parking
Please note the Sacramento Station Parking Lot/Old Sacramento Garage has limited space and requires a short walk (at least 15 minutes) between the parking lot and platform. Follow the signs and walk to the train platform to board.  Please proceed from the Sacramento Station building to the boarding platform and be ready to board 10 minutes prior to train departure. More information here.

  • Expect more riders than usual on Trains 541/543. Please consider taking an earlier train to minimize crowding onboard if you have flexibility in your schedule.
  • Train 548 is CANCELLED. Passengers are advised to take Train 546 or earlier trains if you have flexibility in your schedule.
