Capitol Corridor is Your Ticket to Holiday Ice Skating

With the holidays just around the corner, ice skating season is in full swing, and you can get to some of the best rinks around on the Capitol Corridor! Here are our picks for holiday ice skating destinations along our route.

Downtown Sacramento Holiday Ice Skating – Sacramento Station

To get to the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink, take the train to the Sacramento station, which is less than half a mile away.

SPECIAL OFFER: Free skate rental when you show your Capitol Corridor/Amtrak ticket. You can show your paper ticket or an online version on a smart phone.

Through January 18, 2016:
– Monday-Thursday, 2pm-8pm
– Friday-Saturday, 10am-10pm
– Sunday, 10am-8pm

Location: Corner of 7th and K streets in St. Rose of Lima Park

Details: Skates, lockers, gloves, and socks are available for rental.


San Jose Downtown Ice – San Jose Station

To get to San Jose Downtown Ice, take the train to the San Jose station, which is less than a mile away. From there, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take VTA, for which Capitol Corridors can get a free transfer from the train conductor. get there on VTA.

Holiday Ice Rink at Embarcadero Center – SF Financial District/Hyatt Stop

To get to the Holiday Ice Rink, take the Capitol Corridor to the SF Financial District/Hyatt bus stop, which is just a block away. Or, you can take Capitol Corridor to the Richmond or Oakland Coliseum stations and transfer to BART and get off at the Embarcadero station.

Through January 3, 2016
– Sunday-Thursday, 10am-9:30pm (open until 11:30pm on December 31)
– Friday-Saturday: 10am-11:30pm

Location: Justin Herman Plaza, adjacent to Four Embarcadero Center and across from the historic Ferry Building.
