On Thursday, December 9, 2021, a new schedule will go into effect for the Highway 17 connecting bus service which travels between San Jose and Santa Cruz. Most changes are slight and have a 5 to 10-minute shift in departure times; however, one notable change is there will be no connection to train 524, and the first weekday train connection from Santa Cruz to San Jose will be train 528. Passengers traveling on Tuesday, November 23 experienced a series of extended delays lasting more than an hour due to a track incident that took place Monday night.
