National Train Day returns on Saturday, May 8th
**********************************************************************
Capitol Corridor and Amtrak California will celebrate the third annual
National Train Day on Saturday, May 8, 2010! This momentous occasion
will give passengers a chance to commemorate the history of railroads
and to look toward the future of the industry.

In Sacramento, the National Train Day celebration will be held at the
California State Railroad Museum. The event will be held from 10:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a Capitol Corridor/Amtrak California
car onsite as well as 21 other full-size historical trains on display
at the museum. Visitors will also have a chance to interact with other
partnering Sacramento transportation organizations, and learn about
their many contributions to rail in the capital city.
Other celebrations will be held in Los Angeles and Fresno. The
festivities will feature train exhibits, fun giveaways and live
entertainment.

We look forward to celebrating with you!

School groups on board
**********************************************************************
April and May are the busiest months for school groups on Capitol
Corridor, as teachers take their students on end-of-the-year field
trips. Please welcome these groups onboard, as many of the students
are riding the train for the very first time. In some instances, cars
may be reserved for large groups. Please be courteous to your fellow
riders and store your personal items in the overhead bins to ensure
there are enough seats for all of our passengers. Thanks!

Discontinuation of Courtesy Stop at Howard and Beale streets
**********************************************************************
Effective Friday, April 30, 2010 Capitol Corridor will discontinue the
courtesy motorcoach bus stop in San Francisco at Howard and Beale
streets.
This had been established as a temporary courtesy stop for Capitol
Corridor passengers traveling to San Francisco. This is an official
MUNI stop and MUNI granted permission to us to use it for a limited
time period. MUNI will now be utilizing this stop to a greater extent
with their own service, and Capitol Corridor motorcoach buses will no
longer be able to share this stop.
