It’s not every day you get to enjoy an outdoor ice rink, so we want to make sure you get a chance to go this holiday season. The Capitol Corridor will be giving away a set of five tickets to the Sacramento Downtown Ice Rink AND a set of five tickets to the San Jose Downtown Ice Rink. Simply follow @CapitolCorridor on Instagram, tag friends or family you’d take with you, and the city where you’d like to skate! We will pick our two ticket winners on Tuesday, December 12 at 4pm. (To be eligible to win, you must be following the Capitol Corridor at the time of the drawing.)

Although there will be only two winners in our contest, the Capitol Corridor has partnered with these two holiday ice rinks to provide ALL riders with discounts on their skate rentals! Just show your same-day ticket at the Downtown Sacramento and Downtown San Jose Ice Rinks to receive a $2.00 discount on your rink purchases. This promotion will continue until the end of the skating season in January.

What’s Cooking? Share your Holiday Recipes #CCYUM

Participate in our Holiday Recipe Exchange by sharing your favorite recipes to make for family and friends. From now till December 21, the Capitol Corridor is collecting recipes from riders. At the end of the exchange, nine recipes will be highlighted on our blog and the chefs behind them will be sent a Cappy Stocking Stuffer Gift! All you have to do is post or share your recipe on Facebook or Instagram, tag @CapitolCorridor and #CCYUM to be included in the exchange.

There’s No Better Hour than Cappy Hour – Join us for a Holiday Cappy Hour on Thursday, December 14!

We’re excited to host an end of year Cappy Hour for our riders on all trains running between 4 and 8pm on Thursday, December 14. The Café Car will offer $3 discounts on beer, wine, and spirits, as well as $1 discounts on non-alcoholic beverages. In addition to our normal food menu, there will also be holiday cookies to munch on! Cappy Hour is a great time to kick back with fellow riders and another opportunity for us to say thank you for riding with us. We hope to see you in the Café Car on December 14. Cheers!
