Station Advisory: Temporary closure of Davis station August 25 – 27, 2012

The City of Davis will temporarily close the Davis Amtrak station from August 25 – 27, 2012 to perform maintenance on the building. Amtrak will have a staff member outside the station during normal station business hours to help answer questions and direct passengers.
Please note that during this temporary closure, there will be no access to the waiting room, lobby or restrooms. Additionally, ticketing and baggage service for all trains traveling through the station will be suspended. This means passengers will need to pick-up their train tickets in advance or utilize the eTicketing option to print their train tickets at home.
Thank you in advance for your patience during this temporary station closure.

Service Advisory: Weekend Bus Bridge between Sacramento and Davis stations

Reminder: Temporary restrooms available at the Sacramento Station

As a reminder, effective July 12, 2012, the existing public restrooms at the Sacramento station were closed for reconstruction. Temporary restrooms have been installed on the north side of the Sacramento Station for use by passengers at the station while the building restrooms are totally remodeled and improved. The temporary facilities offer standard fixtures and lighting and are air-conditioned.
These temporary restrooms will be located immediately outside the main doors to the track area, near where the taxis used to line up.
The restrooms inside the building must be removed to allow that area of the building to be strengthened to meet seismic standards. After the seismic work is completed, the restrooms will be completely rebuilt. The newly rebuilt restrooms are expected to be in service before the Thanksgiving travel period.
