Capitol Corridor Service Advisory for March 8-15, 2010
**********************************************************************
Union Pacific track crews will return on March 8th to finish the tie
renewal project between Richmond and Oakland. During this time
period, Capitol Corridor will continue to operate all trains on our
full, regular schedule published October 26, 2009.
Since Union Pacific work crews will be occupying one of the main
tracks between Richmond and Oakland to complete the tie renewal
project, some midday Capitol Corridor trains may be subject to delays
of approximately 20-30 minutes as they move through the work area.
The Capitol Corridor trains most likely to be affected include:
Eastbound Trains: 526, 528, 530, 532
Westbound Trains: 527, 529, 531, 533, 535, 537

If you are traveling to or from the East Bay or San Francisco during
the midday period, you may want to consider utilizing BART to transfer
to/from Capitol Corridor trains at the Richmond Intermodal Station to
avoid potential train delays.

Thank you for your patience as we work with our colleagues at Union
Pacific to complete this tie renewal project.

Passenger Communications Survey – we’d love your feedback!
**********************************************************************
CCJPA has received many phone calls and e-mails from you over the past
two weeks expressing your frustration with passenger communications
(or lack thereof).

To address your concerns, our team here at Capitol Corridor is
aggressively moving forward with implementing a variety of enhanced
passenger communication programs within the next 3-6 months.

In order to help prioritize the communication services we hope to
bring to you, we’d like your feedback on the types of notifications
you feel would be most useful in getting pertinent service changes to
you in a timely manner.

Please take a few moments to complete our short survey.

CCJPA Volunteer Casting Call
**********************************************************************
Here’s your chance for fame (although no real fortune) as Capitol
Corridor’s volunteer “spokesmodel” for a short video to explain just
how easy it is to ride Capitol Corridor and connect to BART at the
Richmond Intermodal station or get to the Oakland Coliseum. These
educational videos will be posted on www.capitolcorridor.org and
www.bart.gov websites and may be aired on city cable access channels
in cities along our corridor.

Capitol Corridor is working in collaboration with BART, the Capitol
Corridor Joint Powers Authority’s managing agency to produce these
videos. The video crew is looking for an genuine Capitol Corridor
passenger who is willing to go on camera from his or her favorite
Capitol Corridor station to either Richmond or Oakland Coliseum
station. If you’d like to participate in this video project please
contact CCJPA’s Luna Salaver at [email protected] by March 12, 2010.
Please include CC Casting in the subject line of your email.
