Memorial Day Service – Monday, May 28, 2012

Capitol Corridor will operate on a weekend/holiday schedule on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2012.

Fight Hunger – One Stop at a Time!

Capitol Corridor, in partnership with Amtrak, Amtrak California, Caltrain, Sacramento Regional Transit, Solano Transportation Authority, Union Pacific and thirteen northern California food banks are inviting you to help “Fight Hunger One Stop at a Time.” From June 1 to June 15, 2012, Capitol Corridor will accept nonperishable food items at seven staffed Capitol Corridor stations from Sacramento to San Jose.
Summer is a critical time for low-income families – during the school year children from these families receive breakfast and lunch through their school’s nutrition program – but when school is out these meals are “lost” and parents are forced to stretch already tight budgets to buy even more food. During this time of year, food banks distribute more food to families, and with food banks already hit hard by the nation’s economic downturn, the need is greater than ever.

June 2, 2012 Service Advisory: Bus Bridge between Sacramento and Davis

Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) will be performing a signal cutover project on June 2, 2012 that will affect some morning and afternoon trains traveling between the Sacramento and Davis stations. To accommodate the UPRR construction schedule, connecting buses will carry passengers between these two stations.
