2. Fight Hunger – One Stop at a Time!
Help Capitol Corridor fight hunger – one stop at a time! Capitol Corridor, in partnership with Amtrak and seven northern California food banks, is inviting you to help “Fight Hunger One Stop at a Time.” From June 1 to June 15, 2010, Capitol Corridor and Amtrak will accept nonperishable food items at seven staffed stations from Sacramento to San Jose.

CCJPA Managing Director is pleased to unveil his new blog: Get on Board with David Kutrosky. Blogging will be a new way for CCJPA to communicate with an on-line audience. Get on Board topics will be posted about every two weeks and will feature brief updates about Capitol Corridor projects and public transportation in general. Using this new format will also give riders an opportunity to post comments for David on the blog page.

5. Onboard Courtesy
Please be courteous to your fellow passengers and keep bags and belongings off of the seats next to you. This helps us accommodate all passengers comfortably and reduce possibility of standees. Use the overhead bins above the seats or the luggage areas, which are located at the ends of each car. Conductors will be making announcements to remind passengers to keep seats clear for others to use. Also, please keep your feet off the seats. If you must rest your feet on an adjacent seat, please either remove your shoes or place paper or something else between your shoes and the seat. No one wants to sit on what you may have stepped in. Filthy seats cost a lot of your fare dollars to keep clean. Thank you for your cooperation in making everyone’s trip on a Capitol Corridor train pleasant and enjoyable.
