Rider appreciation events could be coming to a train near you!
Each quarter, Capitol Corridor hosts rider appreciation events on
board the train to thank you for your train-riding loyalty! Visit us
in the Cafe Car to sample a selection of items from our menu, and
enjoy complimentary soft drinks. See below for exact dates and
trains–if your usual train isn’t on here, don’t despair–we rotate
each quarter and try to visit with the busiest trains, so sooner or
later, we hope to see you!

One Ticket, One Seat Please!
**********************************************************************
Each paying passenger may occupy one seat only. Please show courtesy
to your fellow passengers and make sure that seats are available to
other riders by stowing your items in the overhead bins or luggage
storage area- especially in the Quiet Cars. Thank you for your
cooperation.

Upcoming Timetable Change – October 27, 2008
**********************************************************************
Capitol Corridor will publish a new winter timetable on Monday,
October 27, 2008, and there will not be any major changes to the
current train schedules.
Train 548 and some motorcoach bus routes will have slight schedule
modifications.
Motorcoach bus Route 20 A/B will not longer stop at Soda Springs.
As part of our ongoing effort to reduce waste, Capitol Corridor will
be printing two pocket-sized timetables this October; one for train
schedules (including the Route 99 San Francisco motorcoach
connections) and one with just the motorcoach schedules and their
connecting trains. Be sure to pick up one of the new schedules at a
station on October 27th.
Thank you.

October’s Safety Tip: Remember to keep your valuables to yourself.
**********************************************************************
Your safety is a top priority to Capitol Corridor. To help you ride
safely, we will include a new safety tip in this newsletter each
month.
Don’t wear or display expensive-looking jewelry or electronic devices
that could attract a thief’s attention. Transport your laptop within
another bag, or in a bag that does not obviously look like a laptop
bag. Carry wallets in your front pockets or in a secure part of your
purse.
Call 911 or Amtrak Police directly at 1-800-331-0008 in an emergency.
BE AWARE. BE INVOLVED. BE SAFE.
