Special Late Return Train for 49ers Game at Levi’s® Stadium on October 6

Levi's Stadium

We’ve got exciting news for 49ers fans! The Capitol Corridor will run a special late return train for the San Francisco 49er’s 5:25pm home game against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, October 6. Fans will be able to take the Capitol Corridor’s regularly-scheduled trains for travel to the Santa Clara/Great America Station, which stops right at Levi’s® Stadium; however, they will need to take special trains 554/550 for the return trip. Train 554 departs Santa Clara at 9:05pm and arrives at Oakland Jack London Square at 10pm, with a seamless transfer to Train 550, which leaves Oakland Jack London Square at 10:10pm and arrives in Sacramento at 12:08am, making all stops along the way.

Discounted Muni Tokens Now Available For Sale in the Café Car

Muni

We are now offering discounted SF Muni tokens for sale in the Café Car to help our passengers make connections to their destinations within San Francisco. Tokens cost $2.00 each ($2.25 value) with a limit of two per rider. We are continuing to sell BART tickets as well, discounted from $10.00 to $8.00.

Service to Golden 1 Center in Downtown Sacramento

Golden 1 Center

In early October, Sacramento’s much-anticipated Golden 1 Center will open, and its inaugural event will be the Paul McCartney concert on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 4 and 5. The Golden 1 Center is only a 10-minute walk from the Sacramento train station, making the Capitol Corridor a quick and convenient option for travel to most events. For late events that run past Capitol Corridor’s last westbound train at 10:30pm, we’ve also partnered with Yolobus to provide bus service back to the Capitol Corridor Station in Davis, free of charge with a transit transfer. Read our news article for more details about Golden 1 Center service.

RocketBoat: One More Month of Fun on the San Francisco Bay

Rocket Boat

Monday, October 31 (Halloween!) is your last chance to ride RocketBoat at Pier 39, the fastest thrill ride on San Francisco Bay! RocketBoat offers epic views and a classic Rock ‘n’ Roll soundtrack for an unforgettable adrenaline rush. To get to RocketBoat, take the Capitol Corridor to the Emeryville Station for a seamless transfer to our dedicated bus that will take you to Pier 39. You can also take BART to the Embarcadero Station, then hop on the Muni F Line at the Ferry Building to the stop at Pier 39.

California Rail Safety Month Is Almost Over, But The Message Continues

Look Both Ways

As Rail Safety Month draws to a close, remember that the message continues, and rail safety is always a priority for the Capitol Corridor. Rail Safety Month in September was first designated in 2009 with the goal of reducing fatalities and increasing awareness about being close to and trespassing on railroad tracks. For more information about rail safety, check out California Operation Lifesaver, a non-profit safety education and awareness program; it’s a great resource for tips about reducing collisions, fatalities, and injuries at railroad tracks and crossings. You can also check out our own Safety & Security page and watch the safety video we produced last year in collaboration with the Oakland A’s. The message about rail safety never ends!
