Changes Coming to San Francisco Bus Service Starting March 1, 2015

A new schedule is coming out on March 1, 2015 that reflects changes to the Capitol Corridor connecting bus routes in San Francisco. The biggest change will be the relocation of the Amtrak ticket office and connecting bus stop from the Ferry Building to the Transbay Temporary Terminal. All connecting buses will stop serving the Ferry Building bus stop (SFC) at the end of the day on February 28, and will begin serving the Transbay Temporary Terminal on March 1. Passengers who normally use the Ferry Building bus stop can instead go to the Transbay Temporary Terminal on Folsom and Beale Streets, which is only a ten-minute walk. Passengers may also use the Hyatt Regency stop (SFF), which is only a five-minute walk from the Ferry Building and conveniently located near the BART and Muni Embarcadero Station on Market Street.

All other San Francisco connecting bus stops will remain as they are today, but there may be some changes to bus departure and arrival times due to the bus route changes. The move of the bus stop and Amtrak Ticket Office from the Ferry Building to the Transbay Temporary Terminal will help minimize bus service suspensions. Stay tuned for the release of the new schedule prior to the effective date on March 1. Read more…
