New Year’s Eve Capitol Corridor/Amtrak Thruway Bus Schedule Changes

On New Year’s Eve, the City of San Francisco will close many of the streets around the Ferry Building and in the Fisherman’s Wharf area to accommodate the crowds expected to attend the City’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration. Streets will be blocked beginning at 8:00 PM on Friday, December 31, 2010 through 4:00 AM on Saturday, January 1, 2011. As a result, the Capitol Corridor will implement temporary bus and schedule changes for buses traveling to/from San Francisco after 7:30 p.m. Passengers making the bus connection to/from San Francisco during the street closures may want to transfer onto BART, which connects with the Capitol Corridor at the Richmond Intermodal Station.
