Capitol Corridor Service Advisory February 2010 Track Work

Luna Salaver Press Releases

Starting Monday, February 22, Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) will begin Phase 2 of a two-phase track infrastructure project, which will affect Capitol Corridor service. Phase 2 involves upgrading tracks between Martinez and Oakland Jack London stations. To accommodate UPRR work crews, from Monday, February 22 through Wednesday, March 3, 2010, Capitol Corridor will run on a modified schedule and a bus bridge between the Martinez and Oakland Jack London stations will be in effect for some late-morning and mid-day trains.
This work is designed to keep the railroad in good condition so trains can operate safely and reliably.

Changes to Train Schedule
Four trains will be suspended during the construction period to give Union Pacific extra time to work. The following trains WILL NOT OPERATE from February 22 – March 3, 2010.

• Eastbound trains: #534, #746
• Westbound trains: #531, #745

There will be no service (train or bus) for the above trains.
