Capitol Corridor Service Advisory: Oakland Weekday Track Work to Affect Service to Oakland Jack London and Coliseum Stations November 5 – 9 and November 12 – 16, 2012

OAKLAND, CALIF., October 29, 2012 — Union Pacific (UPRR) crews will begin track work on Monday, November 5, 2012 to replace concrete panels that run through Oakland’s Embarcadero. UPRR’s work will impact Capitol Corridor service to Oakland Jack London Square and Oakland Coliseum stations the first two weeks of the month: Monday, November 5 through Friday, November 9, 2012 and also Monday, November 12 through Friday, November 16, 2012. Weekend service will not be affected.

TEMPORARY SERVICE CHANGES

The following Capitol Corridor trains WILL NOT STOP at the Oakland Jack London or Oakland Coliseum stations:

Westbound Trains: 529, 531, 533, 541 and 545

Eastbound Trains: 530, 534, 536 and 540

Instead, the Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA) will provide alternate transportation to/from these stations. For complete temporary service alternatives during UPRR’s October track work project, passengers should go to capitolcorridor.org or call 1-877-9RIDECC (1-877-974-3322). All other trains, including trains traveling to and from San Jose will operate on a normal schedule.
