April 13, 2012 – Service Advisory: Police Activity affecting afternoon trains

Local police activity in the Oakland area affecting Capitol Corridor train service is now concluding. This activity affected trains 530, 535, 532, 537 and 534. The following service adjustments are being made:

Trains 535 & 537– Passengers onboard this train will be bus bridged between Emeryville and Oakland. Passengers waiting to board further down the line (Oakland Coliseum, Fremont, Hayward, etc.) will most likely experience delays of up to 90 minutes.

Train 530, 532 and 534 – These trains will originate at the Emeryville station. Passengers planning to board this train at Oakland Jack London Square will be bus bridged to the Emeryville train station.

Trains 538, 540 and 542 are all expected to be delayed due to train equipment turns caused by the police activity earlier this afternoon. Passengers can expect residual delays through the Oakland area for the next few hours as authorities complete their investigation and train service is restored.
