Phase 2 of the Track Work Project: February 22- March 3, 2010
**********************************************************************
Here are the details about the Union Pacific (UPRR) track work that
begins on February 22 along our route:	Phase 2 of the two-phase track
work project will begin on Monday and last approximately 10 days
(February 22, 2010 - March 3, 2010).

During the course of this track work, some of the morning and early
afternoon Capitol Corridor trains will not operate between the
Martinez and Oakland Jack London stations. Instead, connecting buses
will carry passengers between those two stations, and trains will
operate on the remainder of the route on a modified schedule.

This will allow Union Pacific to safely upgrade track infrastructure
(primarily railroad ties) between the Martinez and Oakland Jack London
stations, where they will install new ties at their own expense. This
is the last installment of a large-scale multi-year track upgrade
project between Oakland and Sacramento designed to keep the railroad
in good condition so trains can operate safely and reliably.

Ridership Survey Results
**********************************************************************
Twice yearly, the CCJPA conducts a survey of its passengers to stay
abreast of customer satisfaction and demographics. We thank you for
your participation in these surveys, as the information is invaluable
to us as we continue service improvement efforts.

Notice about parking at Emeryville Station
**********************************************************************
Crews will begin work on the Emeryville train station parking lot on
February 20th.	We expect the project will end on March 3, 2010.
Parking in the station lot may be limited during this time as
approximately 20 parking stalls will be out of service and the Reno
Fun & Snow trains are now currently operating out of Emeryville.

Additional parking may be found in the paid parking lot one block
north of the station. If you don't want to pay for parking, you also
have the option of using the Marketplace parking lot across the tracks
for day use at no cost, provided you park in a parking space without
any restrictions.

Don't be a Seat Hog
**********************************************************************
Please be courteous to your fellow passengers and keep bags and
belongings off of the seats next to you. This helps us accommodate
all passengers comfortably and reduce possibility of standees.	Use
the overhead bins above the seats or the luggage areas, which are
located at the ends of each car. Conductors will be making
announcements to remind passengers to keep seats clear for others to
use. Thanks for your cooperation!
