On Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17, spaces along the front of the Sacramento Station parking lot will be unavailable from 5:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. so that additional work can be completed by the City of Sacramento and the Sacramento Metropolitan Utility District. This work is a continuation of the project started in early September to eventually provide power for electric vehicle charging stations. On October 16 and 17, plates will be placed over the portion of the affected parking spaces to allow for day parking in these spots; however, parked vehicles in spaces covered with plates will need to be removed from the space by 5:30 p.m. to prevent being towed.
Passengers may park their car at the Old Sacramento Garage for a special day rate of $4/day. This garage can be reached be walking one block west from the intersections of 4th and I streets in front of the depot to the garage entrance at 3rd and I streets.
