Linsey Ettlin News Archive, Service Alerts

Due to New Year’s Eve events in San Francisco, many of the streets around the Ferry Building and in the Fisherman’s Wharf area will be blocked beginning at 8:00 PM on Monday, December 31, 2012 through 4:00 AM on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. As a result, motorcoach connections to/from the following trains will be temporarily affected by the street closures: 547, 548, 549 and 551.

Here are details about the New Year’s Eve temporary bus stops:

  • The Ferry Building (SFC) stop will be moved to Spear & Mission Streets. Spear & Mission is two blocks west from the Ferry Building. Station staff will be on site at the Ferry Building to direct passengers to the alternate stop at Spear & Mission Streets.
  • The Pier 39 (SFW) and Hyatt (SFF) stops will have no service after 8:00 PM. Instead, passengers who normally use the Pier 39 stop should use the F- Market Streetcar or walk 20 minutes to Spear and Mission Streets. Passengers who normally use the Hyatt stop should walk one block south to Spear and Mission Streets.
