Due to New Year’s Eve events in San Francisco, many of the streets around the Ferry Building and in the Fisherman’s Wharf area will be blocked beginning at 8:00 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2011 through 4:00 AM on Sunday, January 1, 2012. As a result, the following temporary changes will be in effect:
The Ferry Building stop (SFC) will be moved to Spear & Mission Streets. Spear & Mission is 2 blocks west from the Ferry Building. Station staff will be on site at the Ferry Building to direct passengers to the alternate stop at Spear & Mission Streets.
The Pier 39 (SFW) and Hyatt (SFF) stops will have no service after 8:00 PM. Passengers who normally use the Pier 39 stop should use the F- Market Streetcar or walk 20 minutes to Spear and Mission Streets. Passengers who normally use the Hyatt stop should walk one block south to Spear and Mission Streets.
The Thruway Bus schedules affected by the Pier 39 and Hyatt stop closures and the revised San Francisco Ferry Building drop off/pick up are:
San Francisco to Emeryville
Bus connection to Train 748 (normally departing Pier 39 at 8:10 PM and the Ferry Building at 8:25 PM) will depart Mission & Spear at 8:25 PM.
Emeryville to San Francisco
Bus connection from Train 747 (normally arriving at the Hyatt at 7:45 PM, the Ferry Building at 7:50 PM and Pier 39 at 8:00 PM) will arrive at Mission & Spear at 7:45 PM.
Bus connection from Train 749 (normally arriving at the Hyatt at 9:20 PM, the Ferry Building at 9:25 PM and Pier 39 at 9:40 PM) will arrive at Mission & Spear at 9:20 PM
Bus connection from Train 751 (normally arriving at the Hyatt at 11:15 PM, the Ferry Building at 11:20 PM and Pier 39 at 11:30 PM) will arrive at Mission & Spear at 11:15 PM
As a reminder, buses will be operating on the Weekend/Holiday schedule on both Saturday, December 31, 2011 and Sunday, January 1, 2012.
