Service Advisory: Track work confirmed for October 25- November 5, 2010

From Monday, October 25th – Friday, October 29th and Monday, November 1 through Friday, November 5, 2010 the following Capitol Corridor trains WILL NOT STOP at the Oakland Jack London or Oakland Coliseum stations:Â
Westbound Trains: 529, 531, 533, 541 and 545
Eastbound Trains: 530, 534, 536 and 540

This service change will allow Union Pacific’s track crews to replace the concrete panels that run through Oakland’s Embarcadero in order to upgrade the track quality. Please read below for details about these temporary service changes.

TEMPORARY SERVICE CHANGES FOR CAPITOL CORRIDOR WEEKDAY TRAINS:
Not all weekday trains will stop at the Oakland Jack London (OKJ) or Oakland Coliseum (OAC) stations. Alternate transportation to/from these stations will be provided. Please see below for details:

Trains 529, 531, 533, 541 and 545
– Passengers traveling to Oakland Jack London aboard these trains will offboard at Emeryville and transfer to a bus, which will transport them to Oakland Jack London station.
– Passengers traveling to the Oakland Coliseum station aboard these trains should ask the conductor for alternate transportation upon boarding.

Trains 530*, 534*, 536* and 540*
– Passengers planning to board these trains at Oakland Jack London must board a bus, which will transport them to Emeryville to connect with the train.
– Buses will depart Oakland Jack London at the published schedule time.

*These trains will hold at Emeryville for connecting buses transporting passengers from the Oakland Jack London station.

All other trains, including trains traveling to and from San Jose will operate on a normal schedule.
