Be prepared for Thanksgiving Travel!

Wednesday, November 27, 2013 will be a busy travel day onboard the Capitol Corridor. Unlike previous years, service WILL NOT be extended between Oakland Jack London and San Jose for Train 551. Train 551 will operate normally and terminate at Oakland Jack London.

We wish all of you a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

WEEKEND/HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Capitol Corridor will operate a weekend/holiday schedule on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, 2013 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

AVOID THE RUSH

Busiest travel days are Wednesday before and Sunday after Thanksgiving. If traveling on Wednesday and want to avoid the crowds, ride before noon or after 6:00 p.m. CCJPA officials urge passengers to purchase tickets in advance.

PURCHASING TICKETS

You can buy online at Amtrak.com, at Ticket Kiosk self-ticketing kiosks, or from an agent at staffed stations. Tickets can also be purchased directly from your Smart Phone. Passengers should allow plenty of time at stations prior to departure – at least 45 minutes before, if tickets need to be picked up. Capitol Corridor’s schedule, station parking, luggage guidelines and ticketing information can be found online at https://www.capitolcorridor.org.

ONE TICKET, ONE SEAT

Please be mindful that this will be an extremely busy travel weekend. As a courtesy to other passengers, please store your carry-on baggage in the luggage racks, overhead bins, or on the floor under your seat to keep seats open for riders during this busy time.
