eLockers Provide Secure Bike Parking at Capitol Corridor Stations

Philip Krayna News Archive, Service Alerts

If bicycling is part of your daily travels, but you don’t want or need to bring your bike on the train, you can now park your two-wheeler for only $.05 an hour in one of Capitol Corridor’s new, at-station BikeLink™ eLockers. As of December 2016, the following Capitol Corridor stations have eLockers:

– Fremont
– Oakland/Coliseum
– Emeryville
– Berkeley
– Richmond
– Martinez
– Suisun/Fairfield
– Davis
– Sacramento — NEW!

A BikeLink™ eLocker is the perfect solution for passengers who want to ride their bike to a Capitol Corridor station and leave it there rather than bring it on the train. eLockers are secure and fully-enclosed to protect your bike from would-be thieves and the elements.

To use an eLocker, you must purchase an eLocker card, available for $20 in the Café Car of most Capitol Corridor trains, online at www.bikelink.org, or at designated retailers found on the BikeLink website. You will be charged only $.05 per hour to use an eLocker, and you can add value easily onto the card at www.bikelink.org. We expect to have eLockers installed at most Capitol Corridor stations by the end of 2017.

eLockers at Emervyille, Berkeley, Martinez, and Suisun/Fairfield are partially funded through the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) Transportation Fund for Clean Air Funding.
