2013-15 Draft Business Plan

The CCJPA made the draft version of its 2013-15 Business Plan available to the public on January 23, 2013. We invite you to provide input and comments on this draft. Capitol Corridor will hold public workshops to discuss the business plan, as well as future plans for Capitol Corridor.

You can view the public workshop schedule on the Business Plan page of the CCJPA website and download the draft version of the plan. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 is the last day that passengers and community members will be able to provide input and comments on this draft. Comments will be accepted in person at the Public Workshops, or you can e-mail your comments to the Capitol Corridor.

Transit Transfers

Use our Transit Transfer program to connect with local transit services, free of charge. It’s simple! While on board, ask the conductor for a free Transit Transfer (or two if you need to make a round trip). The validated transfer will be punched for the next day. Use one transfer to travel to your destination, stay the night if needed, and use the second transfer the next day. Or, use them both on the same day. Present the transfer to the transit operator and place face-up in the fare box where applicable.

New Pre-Tax Transit Commute Benefits

Included in new legislation passed by Congress in the first week of this year, is an increase to the public transit commuter benefit making it equal to the parking benefit. Now both provide for up to $240 pre-tax dollars to be deducted from paychecks through employer commuter benefit tax programs. The benefit is retroactive from January 1, 2012. Passengers should speak with their employer’s transit coordinator about the program.
