Cafe Car Menu Update

Capitol Corridor recently made some updates to our Café Car menu to make it a bit more streamlined. This includes the introduction of new items, such as mini-cheesecakes, and the elimination of some items that have not sold well. We’ve also brought fresh, whole fruit to the menu so now you can have your apple-a-day while en route to your destination. View the new menu on the Capitol Corridor website.
Enjoy!

Temporary restrooms available at the Sacramento Station

Effective July 12, 2012, the existing public restrooms at the Sacramento station will be closed for reconstruction. Temporary restrooms have been installed on the north side of the Sacramento Station for use by passengers at the station while the building restrooms are totally remodeled and improved. The temporary facilities offer standard fixtures and lighting and are air-conditioned.
These temporary restrooms will be located immediately outside the main doors to the track area, near where the taxis used to line up.
The restrooms inside the building must be removed to allow that area of the building to be strengthened to meet seismic standards. After the seismic work is completed, the restrooms will be completely rebuilt. The newly rebuilt restrooms are expected to be in service before the Thanksgiving travel period.

Print Your eTicket Whenever, Wherever

Capitol Corridor currently offers eTicketing on board our trains and will soon be rolling it out on the following select Thruway Motorcoach bus routes:
  • Routes 3 (Stockton-Sacramento-Redding/Suisun-Fairfield)
  • 20A (Sacramento-Auburn-Reno)
  • 20C (Sacramento-South Lake Tahoe)
This means you’ll see conductors and some bus drivers carrying mobile scanners. During this time, we encourage you to continue to keep your paper ticket in a safe and secure location as it still has value and must be presented to obtain a refund or exchange.
General program information on eTicketing can be found at Amtrak.com/eticketing.
