Win Tickets to the Tour de Cluck in Davis

Chickens and bicycles go together

Chickens are the stars of Tour de Cluck—a fun, family-friendly bike tour of chicken coops in Davis. The Tour de Cluck starts at the Davis Central Park at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 30, with fun activities including egg races and a cluck-off. Valet bike parking will be provided until the kick-off of the 15-mile coop tour at 10 a.m. Capitol Corridor is proud to be the event’s transportation partner, and we’re holding a fun contest on our Facebook page for a chance to win event tickets! All you have to do to enter is come up with a clever photo caption by Monday, May 25. For more information about the Tour de Cluck, visit www.tourdecluck.org.

Rider Tip: Have Your Ticket Out and Ready

Scanning tickets

Conductors have to get through the entire train after each stop, which is no small feat when trains are crowded! You can help speed the process along by making sure your ticket is out and ready for the conductor to scan. Purchase your ticket in advance, either online or at the station. If you purchase your ticket online, you will get an email with your ticket attached as a PDF. Print the ticket and keep it with you in an easily accessible place, or pull it up on your mobile device before the conductor comes around. Everyone needs to show their ticket, even if you’re a frequent rider and familiar with the conductor. The sooner your ticket gets scanned, the sooner you can relax and enjoy the ride.
