On Friday, December 5, the Pac-12 Championship football game will kick off at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara at 6:20 pm. As a result of this event, significant traffic congestion around the Santa Clara/Great America Station is expected. Tasman Dr. between Great America Pkwy and the station will be closed from 9:00 am to midnight.
If you need to access the station…
During the afternoon commute, passengers will be allowed through the Tasman/Calle de Sol check point to access the rail platform and VTA park & ride lot if they show their rail tickets. The ACE shuttle buses and all other rail shuttles will also be able to access to the station on Stars & Stripes Dr. from the Tasman and the Calle de Sol check point. The ACE shuttles will operate 20 minutes earlier than normal for all four afternoon trains.
If you park at the VTA park & ride lot…
VTA will have a security officer protecting the parking spaces in the park & ride lot for rail passengers from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. Passengers will be asked to show their rail ticket when they enter VTA’s park & ride lot.
