Fares Reduced by 10% for May Travel

As we promised in our Managing Director’s Message to Riders earlier this month, the Capitol Corridor is offering a temporary 10% fare reduction on all tickets – One-way/Round-trip, 10-Ride, and Monthly – for travel in May 2018. This is to compensate riders for the severe delays over the past several months and say thank you for your continued support.

Stories from Our Riders

Every Ride Creative

Since the launch of the Every Ride Has a Story contest in March, riders have been sharing their unique, funny, and inspiring travel experiences with us – like Emy who traveled with her husband to San Jose for their 25th anniversary, and Hector, who takes the Capitol Corridor regularly during football season to cheer on the silver and black. If you haven’t had a chance to see the stories yet, they are on the website. We love reading them and think you will too. Browse through the stories page for great anecdotes and maybe even some travel ideas for your next trip! And, if you haven’t yet shared your story with us, please do! You have until June 1 to enter for a chance to win a fantastic San Francisco Bay Getaway prize.

Fairfield-Vacaville Station Grand Opening on Thursday, April 19

On Thursday, April 19, the City of Fairfield will host an official Grand Opening Celebration for the new Fairfield-Vacaville Station that began serving passengers in November 2017. We hope you’ll stop by and join us on Thursday for the event starting at 5:30pm. There will be fun games and activities for the kids, a commemorative gift (while supplies last), as well as a formal program with speakers starting at 5:45pm.

Hopefully you’ll take the train! Train 545 from Sacramento arrives at the Fairfield-Vacaville Station at 5:20pm, and Train 538 from San Jose arrives at 5:26pm. If you drive, please note you will need to park at Vanden High School (2951 Markely Lane, Fairfield) and take the free shuttle to the station departing at 4:45pm, and every 15 minutes until 5:45. Return shuttle service will begin at 6:45.
